TL;DR: Nova at $13,700 is the only Vertiq model listed under $15,000. It prints walls and floors with one industrial printhead as standard and includes the published starter package, software and remote video training. This budget comparison concerns equipment list price, not a complete startup budget or a market-wide award.
Set the budget boundary honestly
“Under $15,000” refers here to the printer's published USD list price. Nova is $13,700, including worldwide shipping. That does not mean the entire business, every optional accessory or every destination tax fits under the same limit. Keep the machine price separate from your complete purchase and operating plan.
Nova is the only current Vertiq model below this threshold. Immersive Dual, Apex, Hypermural X, Spectra Dual and Hypermural X Dual are all listed above it. This guide does not claim that Nova is the best machine sold by any supplier. It explains what the lowest-priced Vertiq configuration publishes and what questions remain before purchase.
What the standard configuration offers
Nova lists one industrial printhead using CMYK plus white UV ink. It prints walls and floors, with wall height up to 2.4 m and unlimited width. Published resolution options run from 720 to 2880 DPI, with 4, 6 and 8-pass modes. Its speed range is 3–5 m²/hour, depending on pass count in the catalog description.
Those are operating specifications, not a finished-job schedule. Surface preparation, image approval, white coverage and access affect the work surrounding production. Do not multiply a speed range by working hours to produce an income forecast. The relevant test is whether the documented configuration suits the actual designs and surfaces you intend to accept.
Nova also publishes ultrasonic unevenness correction up to ten centimeters, UV LED curing with air cooling, USB or Wi-Fi transfer and a wheeled belt-gear movement system. Power requirements are 100–240 V AC, 50–60 Hz, with a maximum draw of 350 W. Confirm the installation arrangement and supplied connection details in the quote rather than assuming every site is ready.
Keep optional heads outside the base-price assumption
Two industrial printheads are an alternative configuration quoted separately. They are not the standard configuration represented by the $13,700 list price. Ask for a complete itemized quote before comparing an upgraded Nova with a standard higher-priced model.
A single standard head is not evidence of inferior output, and two heads are not evidence of twice the production speed. The configuration affects how the machine is specified and serviced. Published replacement prices differ between the Nova printhead and the standard industrial printheads; consider those parts facts without inventing an interval for replacement or a lifetime cost estimate.
What costs more in the lineup
Immersive Dual at $17,600 publishes two industrial printheads and a one-click wall/floor mode switch in under 60 seconds. Apex at $18,700 lists two industrial printheads and describes its modular padded carry-case frame. These are specific differences to evaluate, not automatic upgrades for every buyer.
Hypermural X at $18,900 is wall-only, with a four-bag car-portable arrangement and 10–15 minute setup. Spectra Dual at $20,900 lists a servo-driven frame, six-meter rail and a three-meter standard column; that column is not a usable print-height specification. X Dual at $22,600 adds floor capability to the Hypermural platform. The full price list is the right place to review all configurations together.
The practical tradeoff
A firm equipment-price ceiling points to Nova within the current lineup, but the ceiling should not override a documented job requirement. Check transport, printed dimensions, floor arrangements and the actual included package. If a required accessory changes the quote, reassess the complete budget rather than representing it as the original list-price purchase.
Keep an operating reserve based on your own researched expenses. No fixed leftover budget, expected workload or recovery result is published here. The honest choice is the configuration you can fund and operate responsibly with written specifications matching your plan.
Published model comparison
Prices below are USD list prices including worldwide shipping. These are catalog specifications, not measured comparisons or a promise of job performance. Column height is labeled separately from usable print height.
| Model | List price | Wall / floor | Height as published | Standard printheads |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vertiq Nova | $13,700 | Walls and floors | Up to 2.4 m | 1 × industrial printhead |
| Immersive Dual | $17,600 | Walls and floors | Up to 2.4 m | 2 × industrial printheads |
| Vertiq Apex | $18,700 | Walls and floors | Up to 2.4 m, unlimited width | 2 × industrial printheads |
Published speeds use their stated conditions; do not treat different ranges as a controlled head-to-head test. A rail's physical length is not the floor's cross-track print band. Request the current spec sheet where the catalog does not publish a dimension.
Included equipment and training
The model pages list these included items. Confirm the exact configuration and any optional accessories in your written quote; do not assume an option is included at list price.
For the other shortlisted models, use the linked machine pages' included-items lists. The comparison table does not establish an identical accessory package across models.
Remote video training and control software are included. Training scope is confirmed in writing with each quote. No fixed curriculum, completion deadline or certification is promised here.
Ownership, delivery and support
You own the equipment outright, with no franchise fees, royalties or territory limits. Ownership does not provide customers or a booked workload. You remain responsible for selling, artwork, preparation and operation. The startup buyer guide discusses potential applications, not verified customer results.
Machines are designed and tested in California and shipped from California. List prices include worldwide shipping; destination duties, taxes and clearance are excluded. Delivery coordination and timing are confirmed with your quote, not assumed from this comparison.
U.S.-based support comes from Sherman Oaks, California, with multilingual assistance available. Every model carries a one-year parts warranty per written terms. Consumables and normal printhead wear are excluded; labor and service shipping are included only if the terms say so. Read the warranty. No response time is promised.
US buyers pay by wire or credit card with a processing fee. International buyers pay by wire in full before shipment. No financing or leasing is offered.
Budget and next steps
Published consumables are a $175 five-bottle ink set, $1,500 industrial replacement printhead, $3,200 Nova replacement printhead and approximately $150 maintenance supplies. Ink is $0.40–$6.70 per m², depending on coverage and white underbase. These are published costs, not replacement intervals or complete job-cost estimates.
Budget separately for a suitable laptop, transport, storage, preparation and business expenses using your own researched costs. Review running costs and the calculator with your own assumptions. Vertiq publishes no income, payback or return figures for any operator.
Compare all six models and prices. Request an on-demand demo video, a custom artwork recording or a mailed sample print (you cover sample shipping). Confirm your actual surface, access and dimensions against the current spec sheet and written quote before buying. Samples do not guarantee performance at another site.
