Frequently Asked Questions

There is no single best wall printer — the right machine depends on what you plan to print, the surfaces you will work on, and your budget. Evaluate printhead type and replacement cost, maximum print height, whether you need floor printing, ink cost per square meter, the software or RIP workflow, and who provides training and parts in the U.S. Vertiq offers five models: Vertiq Nova ($13,700, all-in-one walls and floors, 2.4 m print height), Hypermural X ($18,900, two Epson I1600 printheads — CMYK + white, walls only), Hypermural X Dual ($22,600, two Epson I1600 printheads — CMYK + white, walls and floors), Immersive Dual ($17,600, walls and floors) and Vertiq Apex ($18,700, all-surface walls and floors). See our comparison page at /compare for a side-by-side breakdown.

You can buy directly from Vertiq Printers. Our machines are assembled and shipped from California, and freight is quoted per destination in the U.S. and Canada. Request a quote on this site, email office@vertiqprinters.com, or call (833) 758-3784 to speak with our California-based team.

Vertiq wall printers start at $13,700 for the Vertiq Nova, $17,600 for the Immersive Dual, $18,900 for the Hypermural X, $18,700 for the Vertiq Apex and $22,600 for the Hypermural X Dual. What adds to the total: additional ink sets and accessory packages, extra rails or extension rods, freight to your address, and training options. Every quote is itemized so you see the exact breakdown before you commit.

If you want the simplest entry point for wall murals, the single-head Vertiq Nova keeps the setup and maintenance footprint smaller. If you want to offer both wall and floor graphics from one machine, the Immersive Dual covers more surface types. Which one fits depends on the work available in your area — we do not make any earnings or viability claims.

A single-head machine lays down all colours with one printhead. A dual-head machine uses two printheads, which increases the amount of ink laid per pass and allows colour and white to be separated across heads. Dual-head machines cost more and add a second head to clean, maintain and eventually replace. We compare both configurations in plain language at /compare.

We'll answer your questions, help you choose the right machine, and outline the path from purchase to your first paying job. There's no obligation to your initial inquiry — just a real conversation with experienced people who want to help you build your printing business. Don't wait: UV printing demand is growing and your market opportunity is ready now.

That depends on local demand, how you price your work, and how much time you put into sales — we do not publish viability figures or guarantee any result. Some operators book steady commercial work; others find their market takes longer to develop. The cost calculator on our business page uses the numbers you enter as illustrative assumptions only, so treat every output as a model, not a forecast.

A practical sequence: research demand in your area (designers, developers, restaurants, gyms, schools), choose the machine that matches the surfaces you expect to print, complete operator training, build a small portfolio of sample prints, set your pricing per project, and start marketing locally. Expect a ramp-up period while you build references. Our honest breakdown is at /wall-printing-business-opportunity.

At minimum: the printer itself, a laptop with design software and the RIP workflow, CMYK + White UV ink and cleaning supplies, the rail and extension rod for uneven or tall surfaces, a vehicle or case for transport, and basic surface-preparation tools such as cleaning cloths, masking materials and a level. Additional accessories are listed on /accessories.

We do not publish break-even points. Recovery depends entirely on how many jobs you book, what you charge, and your operating costs — all of which vary by market. Use the calculator on our business page with your own realistic numbers, and treat the result as an illustration. Results vary and no outcome is guaranteed.

How quickly you recover your investment depends on your local market, pricing, and how many jobs you book, so we don't publish a break-even timeline or return figure. A single commercial mural job can bring in thousands of dollars, and per-project pricing varies widely. Use the illustrative example calculator on our business page to model your own scenario, and call (833) 758-3784 to talk through your specific market with our team.

Absolutely both. Many Vertiq Printers customers run UV printing as their primary business, building a full-time operation serving commercial and residential clients. Others start it as a side income stream alongside existing jobs or businesses, gradually scaling as demand grows. The flexibility of the business model is one of its biggest strengths — you control your schedule, pricing, and growth pace. Vertiq Printers supports you at every stage, whether you're going full-time from day one or easing in.

Earnings vary widely based on your market, pricing, and volume, so we don't publish typical revenue or earnings figures. Per-project pricing for wall murals and floor printing depends on size, complexity, and local demand. Vertiq Printers provides an illustrative example calculator on our business page so you can model scenarios using your own assumptions, and our team can talk through pricing for your area at (833) 758-3784.

The customer base for UV wall and floor printing is enormous. Interior designers, restaurants, retail chains, hotels, gyms, schools, offices, real estate developers, and homeowners all have demand for custom wall and floor art. Commercial clients often provide larger, repeat contracts that anchor your revenue. Vertiq Printers helps you identify your highest-value customer segments based on your location and market. The demand is there — your Vertiq machine gives you the tool to capture it.

Unlike traditional franchises, buying a UV printer from Vertiq Printers involves no ongoing royalty fees, no territory restrictions, and no franchise agreement — you own your equipment outright. It also tends to face less local competition than many other small business models. Vertiq Printers provides training and support similar to what you'd expect from a franchise, without the fees or bureaucracy.

Yes. Vertiq machines use UV ink that cures on contact, so they print on painted drywall, plaster, stucco, concrete, brick, wood, tile, ceramic, marble, stone, glass, metal and fabric wall coverings. Very glossy or non-porous surfaces such as glass and polished metal may need cleaning or a bonding primer for best adhesion. Surface-specific guidance for your project is confirmed in writing with your quote.

All five Vertiq models — Nova, Immersive Dual, Apex, Hypermural X and Hypermural X Dual — are assembled in California and leave assembled, so you are not building the machine from parts. You can choose delivery assembled or in pieces with installation guidance; the exact setup scope is confirmed in writing with your quote.
